What is the series leaderboard and how does it work?

Each series detail page will display a leaderboard of all collectors that have completed the core cards in the series. The initial view of the leaderboard will show the top ten ranks and, if applicable, your rank on the leaderboard highlighted in blue (this will be at the bottom of the list if you do not rank in the top ten). Click the link at the bottom of the leaderboard labeled “View Full Leaderboard” to see a complete list of all collector rankings for that series. Here is an example of the series leaderboard for Heroes & Villains:

The series leaderboard assigns a rank to each collector who has finished the series based on their series score. A number of factors are considered when calculating your series score:

  • Time to complete: The main element in calculating your score is the total time it takes you to collect all the core cards in a series. The faster you complete a series, the higher your score. Completion time constitutes your base score for your leaderboard ranking.

  • Order of completion: Did you complete a series before anyone else? Where you place in relation to other collectors when completing the core series adds a bonus to your base score.

  • Trades: Are you a strategic trader? Trading to help complete a series provides a bonus to your base score.

  • Special cards: You don’t need to collect special cards like chase and variant cards to receive a rank on the leaderboard, but completing them will provide a bonus to your score. You can take your time with these: completion time, order, and trading have no impact on the bonus granted from special cards. However, the core series must be completed before you can obtain a special card bonus.
